Millions of People in America Become More Religious Amid the Corona Pandemic

A survey in the United States (US) shows that millions of people are becoming more religious or are choosing to return to God's way amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The survey also shows that around 29 percent of respondents believe they are in a phase nearing the end of the world as described in the Bible.

This survey was quoted by one of the media, the Washington Examiner. In its report, it was stated that the survey was conducted by McLaughlin & Associates under the orders of the Joshua Fund, a non-profit charity organization.

As a result, 44 percent of respondents thought the corona virus crisis that occurred in the last four months was a sign that everyone should return to God and a sign that the day of judgment or the end of the day will soon come.

"Americans who are close to lockdown are worried, and this is understandable. But millions of people are turning to God, the Bible and Christian sermons for answers, some for the first time," said the organization's founder, Joel C. Rosenberg. from Sputnik News, Sunday (5/4).

"So far, that could be the most important thing in this crisis," he continued.

Joshua Fund also noted that 29 percent of respondents said they believed this crisis indicated that, "We are living in what the Bible calls 'the last days'."

In addition, 22 percent of respondents who identified themselves as non-Christian and 40 percent of Christians who participated in the survey said, "the crisis is generating more attraction to God and spiritual things."

Earlier this year, the Bible and revelation in particular was the subject of discussion among social media users who wondered whether a disease that ravages today's planet could possibly match the description of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
