US Pastor Claims Corona Virus Sent by the Angel of Death and God's Punishment for the Earth

An evangelical pastor in the United States (US) claims that a new type of corona virus, 2019-nCoV, which has killed 170 people in China and spread in various countries is God's punishment. According to him, the "grim reaper" had been sent to rid planet Earth of sinners.

The pastor, named Rick Wiles, told viewers on the TruNews web show, where he warned the disease could become a "global pandemic" that could kill hundreds of millions of people.

He then suggested that the virus started in China because "the Godless Communist government persecutes Christians and carries out forced abortions." He also said the "grim reaper" would watch over the United States.

"God is going to wash a lot of sins off the planet," Wiles told viewers Monday.

"Look at the United States, look at the spiritual rebellion in this country, hatred against God, hatred against the Bible, hatred for truth," he said, as quoted by the New York Post, Thursday (30/1/2020).

"There are vile and disgusting people in this country right now, beyond little children, misleading them. Look at the rape, and sexual immorality, and the filth on our television and movies," he said.

"Friends, the 'grim reaper' may be moving now on this planet. This is the time to be right with God," he said.

Wiles said he was self-quarantining after going from home to his Flowing Streams Church in Florida. He had the suggestion that the government could finally "burn" the entire city to end the "plague".

"You will be surprised at what the government will do to survive," he said.

The number of new Corona virus cases in China has reached 5,974, an increase from the previous figure, 5,327. In addition, this disease has killed more than 170 people in the Bamboo Curtain country.
